Of the Whole Novel

Synopsis

Arun, well-established abroad, returns to his roots after many years and comes to realise that true success in life is not measured by wealth, position, or fame — but by how many lives that success has touched.

His father's calm wisdom and his mother's quiet love slowly transform him, giving birth to a small social initiative that, over time, grows into a movement rooted in values.

Across fifty chapters, the novel carries us through an extraordinary journey of self-reflection, gratitude, integrity, faith, responsibility, learning, empathy, and the sense of legacy. There are no superheroes here, no miracles — only the simple yet profound truths of life, found in the small acts of everyday living.

"The Debt of Roots" reminds us that our lives are shaped by the contributions of parents, teachers, society, nature, and countless people we know and do not know. That invisible debt can never truly be repaid — but it can be honoured by becoming a good human being, standing beside others, sharing knowledge, and spreading humanity's light.

Roots do not mean only the place of one's birth; roots are our values, our character, our gratitude, and our responsibility toward others. The one who honours their roots, and strives to light up another's life, is the one who is truly successful, fulfilled, and remembered. 🌿

About the Author

Surajit Roy
Author & Creator
Surajit Roy

Surajit Roy is not simply the founder of MySkillGame; he is an educator who believes that true learning should shape character as much as it builds knowledge.

As a Vocational Education Teacher in West Bengal, India, years of classroom experience inspired him to create a learning platform where education is practical, engaging, safe, and accessible to everyone. Rather than focusing only on academic achievement, he envisioned a space where children, students, parents, and lifelong learners could develop knowledge, life skills, creativity, civic awareness, and confidence through meaningful interactive experiences.

MySkillGame is the reflection of that vision. Built as an independent educational initiative, it combines educational games, knowledge resources, awareness programs, and real-life learning to encourage curiosity, responsibility, and continuous self-improvement. Every activity is designed with the belief that education should not only prepare people for examinations — it should prepare them for life.

The philosophy behind MySkillGame is simple: lasting success is measured not by personal achievements alone, but by the positive impact we create in the lives of others. Education becomes truly meaningful when knowledge is shared, values are practiced, and learning inspires kindness, responsibility, and service to society.

For Surajit Roy, learning is a lifelong journey rooted in gratitude, integrity, and compassion. Every teacher, parent, mentor, and member of society contributes to shaping who we become. By passing knowledge forward, encouraging good values, and helping others grow, we honour those invisible foundations that make our own lives possible.

MySkillGame stands as an expression of that belief — a platform dedicated to empowering learners, strengthening communities, and inspiring future generations through knowledge, values, and purposeful education.
